3. Mediator and Judge: In death judgment, Thoth plays a vital role. In the afterlife, he recorded the results of the weighing of heart ceremony, whereby Osiris judged dead souls in the realm of the dead. Therefore, Thoth’s job was to ensure that records about such souls were correct.
4. Patron of Sciences and Magic: Thoth was also connected with different kinds of knowledge like magic, science, astronomy etc. To him, wisdom included not just what was written but everything else related with the earthly or ethereal worlds.

Thoth is a major figure in a number of significant Egyptian myths. It was believed that his part in the battle between Horus and Seth is one famous tale. Thoth kept the universe’s balance restored and assisted in resolving conflicts.
